The Clansman Centre
The Clansman Centre

The clansman centre is one of the most unique attractions in Fort Augustus. It is interactive with live demonstrations by people who are clothed in traditional highland dress. Here you will get a real glimpse into what life was like in 18th centaury Scotland.

You can also visit the Celtic craft shop with plenty of silver jewellery and Pictish souvenirs.

The Caledonian Canal runs through the centre of Fort Augustus and it is constantly busy with boats of all types and sizes. Here you can find out more about the creation of the canal and the history.

Cruise Loch Ness

This hour long cruise runs on the hour during the peak season and offers an informative cruise up Loch Ness. You can enjoy the view and the audio tour on the top deck weather permitting or go downstairs where you will find 2 sonar monitors and a bar!

The staff are friendly and offer you an enjoyable trip and with a sonar equipped boat you never know, maybe a chance to see the Loch Ness Monster.

The local tourist information office has plenty of information on things to do in Fort Augustus and also the surrounding areas. From here you can obtain leaflets and maps and the friendly staff can help you with most of enquires.
